INTRODUCTION to PART VI:

The documents in PART VI are presented to give the reader some alternative ideas and additional useful planning information. The Garden of Eden Project as I've written it, for my part, is simply to share some ideas that might not normally occur to people, that are: ecological in nature; cost saving; or otherwise useful for creating biologically sustainable communities.

PART VI contains three types of writings: supplementary documents to the construction ideas mentioned in Parts II, III, IV and V; some plant data for edible plants; and some useful agricultural information.

The documents: SOLAR ELECTRIC INFORMATION, STRAW BALE HOUSES, and GLASS AS A MORE ECOLOGICAL BUILDING MATERIAL THAN IS LUMBER; are all construction type documents.

The 5 documents: PLANTING DATES; BASIC EDIBLE PLANT DATA; BASIC EDIBLE PLANT DATA (data gathering form); BASIC EDIBLE PLANT DATA (blank data gathering form); PLANTING COMPATIBILITY / INCOMPATIBILITY are all basically basic edible plant data. However, you must decide what crops to grow, when to plant them, how often you will plant, etcetera. I suggest getting as much information from your local nursery as possible. They already have the types of plant species that will grow in your geographic locality.

The remaining 2 documents: USEFUL INFORMATION; and WHAT DOES “SQUARE ROOT” MEAN? are practical information useful for helping you do your calculations, if you need it. Good luck!
